It is beach volleyball time in Vienna. The best 48 men’s and women’s teams will compete for the world championship title in 208 matches. The Vienna danube island will serve as the ideal event venue. The championships will last for ten days. The perfect occasion to spend a fantastic in Vienna. Be it to experience the city outside of its historic center or to spend some time with great sports and nightlife.

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships will start on 28 July and will end on 6 August. The location is the Vienna Danube Island – an artificial island in the danube that is one of the best recreational areas of the city. It is were the biggest music open air festival, the Donauinselfest, takes place every year. Its length is 25 kilometers and it offers great opportunities for doing sports but also nice bars that are great locations to relax in summer.
